Chainpath Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner for automotive engine timing chain kits. Share engine code, chain type, guide and tensioner scope, quantity and destination so factories can review a comparable request. We do not manufacture engines or claim vehicle-maker authorization.
Request factory quotes Explore sourcing optionsRecord model year, make, model and engine code before naming a timing chain kit. Note whether VVT components sit in the same request. Unresolved engine codes stay open on the RFQ instead of being filled with a generic catalog line.
Confirm chain type (simplex, duplex or double roller), link count, sprocket tooth counts, guide profiles and tensioner style. A matching cover gasket does not prove the internal kit is interchangeable.
State kits or piece counts and list whether guides, tensioners, sprockets, cover gaskets or a water pump ship in the same carton. A chain-only line cannot share one unit price with a full timing chain set.
Provide the US destination ZIP code and requested delivery window. Sample approval, if needed, is a separate milestone from production-lot shipment and should not be mixed into one undated promise.

Read the sourcing process for kit BOM split rules, then send the open questions.
Ask for model-specific drawings, catalog references, sprocket tooth maps and guide part numbers. A timing chain kit listing is only an inquiry option until the supplier maps it to the stated engine code.
Clarify new versus remanufactured status if any remanufactured component is offered, and whether the timing chain cover gasket or water pump is included. Do not treat a similar chain pitch as proof of the same guide geometry.
Ask for sample scope, batch traceability identifiers and packing unit photos. Sample approval does not automatically qualify later lots; keep version marks on guides and tensioners.
Confirm validity, freight, taxes, service scope, Incoterms and exclusions. Gross package weight may be requested for freight checks; unknown figures stay blank.
